Is GPT-5 and Codex worth using now?

I spent time with the new Codex IDE extensions, tested how it connects to Codex Remote agents, and used the Codex CLI. And I have to say I really enjoyed working with them. GPT-5 seems snappier, the CLI while still missing good formatting is working well. But the real star imo is the ability to switch seamlessly between remote and local coding.
