Anthropic just dropped something I've been waiting for: Claude Cowork. It's basically Claude Code without the terminal—all that agentic, go-do-anything-on-my-computer power, but with a proper interface. I've been using Claude Code for notes, research, file management, and even script execution for a while now. Turns out Anthropic noticed a lot of people doing the same thing, so they built this. In this video, I walk you through two real demos: DEMO 1: Mythology Notes I pointed Cowork at a semester's worth of Greek mythology class notes—PDFs, handwritten notes, the whole chaotic folder. Asked it to understand everything, trace Zeus's family lineage across lectures, and build me a progressive study guide. Then I had it use the Chrome extension to open ChatGPT and generate silly mythological illustrations for each lecture. In parallel. While I watched. DEMO 2: Personalized Marketing Emails Gave it a sales CSV with 80 purchases from 44 customers. Asked it to draft personalized emails about a new winter hoodie—segmenting by previous purchases, mentioning their history, and creating individual files per email. It asked clarifying questions, replanned when I added requirements mid-task, and delivered exactly what I described. What makes this different: - Works at the folder level, not just chat - Creates actual files you can use - Can control Chrome through the Claude extension - Lets you send updates while it's working - Runs for hours without babysitting The catch: Mac-only for now, Max Plan required, and it runs in a sandboxed VM so it can't reach everywhere Claude Code can. My take: This is a first-draft tool. Don't hand it high-stakes work and walk away. But for exploration, tedious file tasks, and getting a smart first pass? It's excellent. If you're a Max subscriber with a Mac, it's right there in Claude Desktop, third tab. Give it a whirl. #ClaudeAI #ClaudeCowork #ClaudeCode #Anthropic #AIAgents #LocalAI #ProductivityAI #AITools #AIWorkflow #NotebookLM #AIAutomation 00:00 - Intro 00:35 - Claude desktop 02:02 - Demo 1: Mythology class 09:49 - Demo 2: Personal touch 13:38 - Warnings 14:59 - Conclusion
