In this talk, André presents Leap, Encore’s new “vibe coding” platform that bridges the gap between AI-generated code and real-world application infrastructure. Through a live demo, he illustrates how AI can move beyond writing code to actually building and managing distributed systems — complete with backend services, databases, Pub/Sub messaging, and observability tools. Eriksson details how Encore’s open-source framework allows developers to declaratively define infrastructure directly in code, giving AI the ability to reason about and interact with real cloud environments. The talk delves into the architectural design behind Leap, from WebSocket-based collaboration to Firecracker virtual machines and Kubernetes deployments.
