Archon workflow masterclass this Friday in Dynamous: https://dynamous.ai Claude Code used to be simple, predictable, and easy to mold to your own workflow. Then Anthropic kept shipping. Now it is huge, the system prompt changes every release, and your context is not really your context anymore. I still use it and love it, but honestly the bloat is real - and that is exactly the problem Pi was built to fix. Pi is an open source coding agent built on one philosophy - a minimal foundational core, and everything else is an extension. There is a growing marketplace of third-party extensions, and because Pi is so simple under the hood, building your own features is super easy. I have been using it non-stop with Archon and I love it! In this video I walk through why Pi matters right now, how to install it in one command, and then I show you how I added Pi as the third supported coding agent in Archon. I even walk you through an Archon + Pi workflow I've been building recently at the end of the video! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Archon repo (open source AI coding harness builder): https://github.com/coleam00/Archon Archon workflow from this video (with Pi + Plannotator): https://github.com/coleam00/GitHubIssueTriager/blob/main/.archon/workflows/archon-plannotator-piv.yaml Pi coding-agent README (install + extension docs): https://github.com/badlogic/pi-mono/tree/main/packages/coding-agent Pi extension marketplace (directly on npm): https://www.npmjs.com/search?q=keywords%3Api-package Mario Zechner - "Building Pi in a World of Slop": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RjfbvDXpFls Plannotator Pi extension: https://www.npmjs.com/package/@plannotator/pi-extension ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 0:00 Introduction to the Pi Coding Agent 1:53 Why Pi is so Important 6:08 How to Install Pi 7:20 Extending Pi 8:32 Using Archon and Pi 9:23 The Pi Plannotator PIV Workflow 13:28 Full Archon Workflow in Action 17:04 Final Thoughts ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Join me as I push the limits of what is possible with AI.
