The Community Staking Module (CSM) v2 upgrade, which went live on mainnet in early October, marks a major milestone in Lido’s roadmap, strengthening the first permissionless module’s security, efficiency, and decentralization. Among others, the upgrade introduces differentiated parameters for various Node Operator types and an optional Community Stakers Identification Framework (ICS) designed to recognize and reward truly independent operators. In this talk, Sasha, Product Manager at the Lido Labs Foundation, presents the ICS framework — a core component of the CSM v2 upgrade — and explains how it helps expand the number of independent stakers running validators through the Lido protocol. Sasha also walks through the steps to apply for the Identified Community Staker status. Watch to learn how the ICS framework enhances decentralization and empowers community stakers within the Lido ecosystem. Watch the full https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EEqR-UFB7Vg.
