I cover what to consider in each layer—freshness, auth, schemas, reliability; model selection, orchestration patterns, context, memory/state, and cost; plus output format, audience, timeliness, multi-channel delivery, and human-in-the-loop. I then walk through my open-source clinical trial tracker: an MCP server wrapping the clinicaltrials.gov API, a Google Sheets watch list, an orchestrated monitoring pipeline that generates an HTML email digest, and optional Linear tickets and a local web dashboard.
