In this video, I share my hands-on experience exploring the new Power Apps MCP Server capability for Canvas Apps. Instead of building apps only inside Power Apps Studio, Microsoft now allows external AI coding tools and VS Code-style workflows to interact with Canvas Apps using the MCP Server approach. We will explore: • What Power Apps MCP Server is • How external AI tools connect with Canvas Apps • Setting up the MCP configuration • Working with .pa.yaml files • Generating screens and controls using prompts • Understanding the overall developer experience • My thoughts on where this could fit in real-world development This feature is still in preview and not that good, but it gives a very interesting look into the future of AI-assisted Power Apps development. 🔗 Let’s connect: LinkedIn – https://www.linkedin.com/in/siddharthvaghasia Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more M365 tutorials! #PowerApps #PowerPlatform #MCP #VSCode #CanvasApps #AI #Copilot #Microsoft365 #LowCode #PowerFx
