Through these ten years, both have had incredible growth. This talk will explore the history of Redox OS and the Rust ecosystem, where it stands today, and where it will go in the future. Presenter: Jeremy Soller is the creator of Redox OS, a Unix-like general-purpose microkernel-based operating system written in Rust. Jeremy is also Principal Engineer at System76, where he works on Pop!_OS, the COSMIC desktop environment, open-source firmware, and open hardware. Jeremy has been writing Rust code since 2015 and has enjoyed using it for everything from firmware to OS kernels to GUI applications.
